This year spring has brought some newness to Vignamaggio. We are always striving to create more comfort and efficiency, while respecting tradition, which is at the heart of Vignamaggio.
We would like to share with you some of what has transpired here over the past weeks as well as provide you with some information about a fewupcoming spring events.
VIGNAMAGGIO NEWS
CASOLESE
In keeping with our renewal plans, we decided to create two concept rooms at Casolese, one of our farmhouses. Our aim was to find a perfect balance between design and functionality, relooking the traditional colours and shapes of Vignamaggio, without betraying its origins. We paid careful attention to every detail in the planning and realisation of this small project, opting for Italian designers and local suppliers and artisans.
We selected Artemide and Flos for the lighting and splendid Simone Boni illustrations to adorn the walls of these two rooms. We invite you to discover the new face of Vignamaggio, hoping that it pleases you as much as it does us.
WET BRIDE, LUCKY BRIDE
We all know the famous Italian proverb that promises good fortune to the bride and groom who celebrate their wedding in the rain. Well, being positive that you will have a happy marriage even if you stay dry, we have decided to pitch a tent in our garden, custom designed and artisanally built, with a capacity to host up to 160 people. You can celebrate your wedding safe from summer showers, while you enjoy the fresh air and wait for the sun to come out.

INTERNATIONAL HANDICRAFTS TRADE FAIR 2015
From the 24th of April to the 3rd of March 2015, Florence’s Fortezza da Basso of will host the 79th International Handicrafts Trade Fair. The fair is a unique event, a display of culture, art and artisan tradition, a historical passage from ancient workmanship to modern technology. FLORAFIRENZE
FloraFirenze is the floriculture exhibition that makes Florence the garden capital and creates a unique opportunity to fully savour the atmosphere of spring. From the 30th of April to the 11th of May 2015, FloraFirenze offers its visitors an experience that unites the world of nursery gardening with that of design. GREVE FLOWER FESTIVAL
On the 2nd of May from 17:00 to 20:00 and on the 3rd of May from 9:00 to 20:00, Greve in Chianti hosts its annual Flower Festival, which sees the main piazza transformed into a sea of flowers and plants of every kind, not to be missed if you are in the area.
“WINE OF THE CASTLE” AND “AMICO MUSEO” MUSEUM FRIENDS PROGRAMME
On the weekend of the 16th and 17th of May, as is the case each year, the charming medieval hamlet of Montefioralle becomes the backdrop for a magical local food and wine festival. On Sunday the17th of May at 14:30, also in Montefioralle, there will be an art history tour conducted by an environmental guide who will accompany you around the hamlet, ending at the Museum of San Francesco.
Spring is an ideal time to rediscover Vignamaggio and its gardens, to revel in the atmosphere of new life permeating among the buds and shoots on our vines. After a visit to Florence or a festival, escape the crowds to the serenity of our hills, sip a glass of wine or dine at our restaurant.
